Scholarship Terms & Conditions
As a non-profit organization, The Anyabwelé Family Foundation is working to help lower barriers to entry for North High School students attending HBCUs.
Our goal is to ensure that qualified students are granted access to higher education at Historically Black Colleges or Universities and not deterred for financial reasons or otherwise.
To be awarded a scholarship, you must agree to the following terms and conditions:
The money that is allocated toward your scholarship is solely for the purpose of paying your HBCU collegiate fees within your first academic year.
In order to receive your scholarship funds, you must meet and maintain the North Higher Learning Scholarship requirements. Your scholarship will be at risk if you are placed on academic probation or fail to meet North High School graduation eligibility.
Should you cease your studies, fail to commence your studies, are dismissed for academic or disciplinary reasons from the HBCU of choice prior to your first semester, or your scholarship is withdrawn for failure to meet and maintain North Higher Learning Scholarship eligibility requirements, you forfeit your scholarship, and the entirety or remainder of the scholarship funds previously allocated to you will be shared with another recipient.
The award of this scholarship is for up to 9 (nine) recipients for $5,000 only, paid directly to the HBCU of the recipient’s choice for their enrollment fees, tuition, books, etc.
By accepting these terms and conditions, you indicate your consent to the use of your information in general Anyabwelé Family Foundation and North Higher Learning Scholarship media, advertising, and print. This consent shall remain in full force and effect in perpetuity and after the completion of your studies.
By accepting this scholarship, you agree to these terms and conditions and to all other Anyabwelé Family Foundation policies and procedures, which continue to apply. This includes (but is not limited to) the policies and procedures outlined in these terms and conditions.
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida. Any unresolved dispute which is related to these terms and conditions and has not been amicably resolved shall be brought before a court of competent jurisdiction in the State of Florida, which shall have sole jurisdiction in this regard.
Provisions regarding the awarding of this scholarship are subject to change.
